Ambulance Billing Concerns and Feedback
The Monterey County EMS Agency uses many quality improvement processes to provide the highest quality care to the citizens and visitors of Monterey County. If you have an ambulance billing concern, complaint, general question, or would like to give positive feedback regarding the EMS system, please let us know.
- Ordinance. No. 5138, § 1, 9-22-2009 | Monterey Code of Ordinances Chapter 15.40.030 (H) Ambulance User Complaints states that any user of emergency ambulance services who contends that he or she has been required to pay an excessive charge for service or that he or she has received inadequate services may file a written complaint with the EMS Agency.
AMR Special Payment Plans
If you receive a bill and know you can't pay the amount due, contact AMR Patient Business Services Office immediately and they will work with you to identify your options. AMR provides two programs that are designed to reduce the cost of ambulance services to patients who are unable to pay their bill and may be eligible for assistance.
